Law Enforcement Request Policy
October 22, 2026
Our approach to verified legal requests, emergency concerns, and protecting member privacy.
1.Scope and safety
Project Red String, operated by Lavender Lane Virtual Services, LLC, receives and evaluates reports concerning serious threats, abuse, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and other unlawful conduct. This page explains how law enforcement agencies may submit requests. It does not guarantee disclosure or immediate response.
2.Submitting a request
Law enforcement agencies may email requests to projectredstring1124@gmail.com. Include the agency and officer's name, official contact details, case or reference number, account identifiers, description of the records sought, the applicable legal authority, and any relevant deadline. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in an initial inquiry.
3.Verification and legal review
We seek to verify the requesting agency and officer through independently verified official contact channels. Requests for user information are assessed for validity, jurisdiction, scope, and applicable law before any disclosure. We may ask for clarification or appropriate legal process, including a subpoena, court order, or warrant as required.
4.Emergency requests
For a credible risk of imminent death or serious physical harm, clearly mark the subject EMERGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST and explain the nature of the emergency, who is at risk, what information is requested, and why it is urgently necessary. We evaluate emergency requests under applicable law. This email address is not a 24-hour emergency dispatch service. In immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency services.
5.Preservation
Law enforcement may submit a preservation request identifying the account and records to be preserved. Requests are reviewed under applicable law, including any applicable obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f). A preservation request does not itself authorize disclosure. Preservation depends on information actually held or accessible by the service.
6.Child safety and exploitation
We prohibit child sexual exploitation, trafficking, coercion, and abuse. We evaluate related reports urgently and may preserve records, restrict accounts, and refer matters to the appropriate authorities when legally required or justified by a serious safety threat. Do not send illegal abuse material by email.
7.Privacy, disclosure and retention
We do not promise that any particular record exists, can be retrieved, or will be retained indefinitely. Disclosures are limited to what applicable law permits or requires. We may decline or seek to narrow requests that are unverifiable, overbroad, or legally insufficient. Our Privacy Policy also addresses legal process and safety-related disclosures.
8.Contact
Law enforcement and safety requests: projectredstring1124@gmail.com. General users may report safety issues through the Reporting & Blocking process. Project Red String is not an emergency service.
