Community Guidelines

PROJECT RED STRING

Effective Date: September 20, 2026

Last Updated: September 20, 2026

Different minds. Same curiosity.

Project Red String was built around a simple idea:

You do not have to agree to connect.

People can have different beliefs, questions, interests, backgrounds, experiences, and conclusions and still treat one another with curiosity and respect.

These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Project Red String.

They apply to profiles, photographs, messages, usernames, Rabbit Hole discussions, and other interactions or content made available through the service.

Using Project Red String also means agreeing to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1.The Red String Rule

Disagreement is allowed.

Curiosity is encouraged.

Respect is required.

You may question another person’s conclusions.

You may respectfully challenge an idea.

You may say that you strongly disagree.

You may decide that a difference makes someone incompatible with you.

You may not use disagreement as an excuse to harass, threaten, humiliate, stalk, or abuse another person.

Debate the idea.

Do not attack the human.

2.Be a Real Person

Project Red String is built for genuine human connections.

Do not:

  • ·Impersonate another person.
  • ·Pretend to be someone you are not.
  • ·Use another person’s photographs as though they are your own.
  • ·Create fake dating identities.
  • ·Create accounts intended to deceive other users.
  • ·Materially misrepresent your age or identity.
  • ·Operate unauthorized bots or automated dating accounts.
  • ·Create new accounts to evade a suspension, ban, or block.

Humor and personality are welcome.

Deception is not.

3.Be Honest About Your Intentions

People use dating platforms for different reasons.

Be reasonably honest about what you are looking for.

Do not deliberately mislead someone about your intentions in order to manipulate, exploit, or obtain something from them.

Changing your mind is allowed.

Lying to gain someone’s trust is not.

4.Rabbit Holes Are for Curiosity

Rabbit Holes are one of the things that make Project Red String different.

Users may explore unusual, controversial, mysterious, speculative, historical, scientific, paranormal, political, cultural, or unexplained topics.

Selecting a Rabbit Hole does not necessarily mean a person believes a particular claim.

Users may be believers, skeptics, somewhere in between, or simply curious.

Project Red String does not require users to reach the same conclusions.

Do not intentionally misrepresent another user’s curiosity as proof that they hold a belief they have not expressed.

5.Respectful Disagreement

You may disagree strongly.

You may not:

  • ·Repeatedly insult someone because of their views.
  • ·Target a person with degrading or dehumanizing abuse.
  • ·Threaten someone for disagreeing with you.
  • ·Encourage others to harass a user.
  • ·Repeatedly contact someone who has clearly asked you to stop.
  • ·Attempt to evade another user’s block.
  • ·Publish private information in retaliation for a disagreement.

A conversation becoming heated does not remove these rules.

When a connection is not working, disconnect and move on.

6.Harassment and Stalking

Harassment and stalking are prohibited.

This includes:

  • ·Repeated unwanted contact.
  • ·Threatening messages.
  • ·Sexual harassment.
  • ·Intimidation.
  • ·Following someone across accounts after being blocked.
  • ·Coordinated harassment.
  • ·Threatening to expose private information.
  • ·Using information learned through Project Red String to intimidate someone offline.

If another user clearly tells you to stop contacting them, stop.

7.Threats and Violence

Do not use Project Red String to make credible threats of violence or encourage violence against another person.

Content that appears to present an imminent or serious safety risk may be removed and may result in immediate account restrictions.

Where appropriate or legally required, serious threats may be referred to relevant authorities.

8.Hateful Conduct

Project Red String allows people with very different beliefs and backgrounds to use the service.

Targeted hateful or dehumanizing conduct against people based on protected characteristics is not permitted.

Users may discuss controversial social, religious, cultural, historical, or political subjects.

Discussion of an idea is different from attacking or degrading a person or group of people.

Context matters, but disagreement is not a license for targeted abuse.

9.Scams, Fraud, and Financial Exploitation

Project Red String has zero interest in becoming somebody’s romance-scam headquarters.

Do not use the service to:

  • ·Conduct romance scams.
  • ·Solicit money through deception.
  • ·Promote fraudulent investment opportunities.
  • ·Request gift cards as part of a scam.
  • ·Manipulate users into sending cryptocurrency.
  • ·Obtain banking information or passwords.
  • ·Run advance-fee schemes.
  • ·Promote pyramid or similar fraudulent schemes.
  • ·Send phishing links.
  • ·Recruit users into fraudulent financial activity.

Never send money to someone merely because you met them through Project Red String.

If someone’s love language suddenly becomes cryptocurrency, proceed accordingly.

10.Spam and Commercial Solicitation

Project Red String is a dating and connection platform, not a cold-lead database.

Do not use it primarily to:

  • ·Advertise unrelated businesses.
  • ·Mass-message users.
  • ·Recruit customers.
  • ·Promote paid services through unsolicited messages.
  • ·Collect contact information for marketing.
  • ·Recruit users into unrelated commercial programs.

Authentically discussing what you do for work is fine.

Turning every match into a sales funnel is not.

11.Sexual Conduct and Consent

Adults may discuss dating, attraction, relationships, and sexuality.

However, you may not:

  • ·Send unwanted sexually explicit content.
  • ·Repeatedly pressure another user for sexual content.
  • ·Threaten or coerce someone into sexual activity.
  • ·Share intimate images without the depicted person’s consent.
  • ·Threaten to distribute intimate images.
  • ·Secretly distribute sexual or intimate material involving another person.
  • ·Use sexual content to harass or intimidate someone.

Consent matters online too.

12.Intimate Images

Never share another person’s intimate image without their consent.

Never threaten to share one.

Project Red String prohibits nonconsensual intimate imagery.

Potential violations may be reported to:

projectredstring1124@gmail.com

Project Red String may remove content, restrict accounts, preserve information, or take other appropriate action consistent with applicable law and our policies.

Additional reporting and removal procedures may be provided through our Safety Center.

13.Minors

Project Red String is for adults age 18 and older.

Minors may not create accounts.

Users may not:

  • ·Sexualize minors.
  • ·Attempt to use the service to contact minors for sexual purposes.
  • ·Share sexual content involving minors.
  • ·Solicit sexual material from minors.
  • ·Facilitate or promote sexual exploitation of minors.

Suspected child sexual exploitation or abuse may result in immediate account action and reporting as required by applicable law.

14.Private Information and Doxxing

Do not publish another person’s sensitive private information without authorization.

This may include:

  • ·Home addresses.
  • ·Personal phone numbers not voluntarily shared for public display.
  • ·Private email addresses.
  • ·Financial information.
  • ·Login credentials.
  • ·Government identification numbers.
  • ·Precise private location information.
  • ·Other information that could reasonably expose someone to harm.

Do not threaten to reveal private information as leverage against another user.

15.Photos and Profile Content

Your profile should reasonably represent you.

Do not upload:

  • ·Images falsely presented as photographs of you.
  • ·Intimate images of another person without consent.
  • ·Content depicting sexual exploitation.
  • ·Content intended to threaten or harass another user.
  • ·Images containing highly sensitive private information belonging to someone else.
  • ·Material you do not have the right to use.

Older photos, creative photos, filters, memes, pets, hobbies, and personality are fine when they do not materially mislead other users about who you are.

16.Dangerous or Illegal Activity

Do not use Project Red String to plan, facilitate, solicit, or promote serious illegal activity.

Project Red String may restrict content or accounts when reasonably necessary to address credible safety threats, illegal conduct, fraud, exploitation, or abuse.

17.Respect the Block

Blocking means stop.

Do not:

  • ·Create another account to contact someone who blocked you.
  • ·Ask another user to contact the person on your behalf.
  • ·Track down someone’s other accounts for the purpose of continuing unwanted contact.
  • ·Attempt to circumvent technical blocking controls.

Nobody owes another user a conversation, explanation, date, response, or second chance.

18.Reporting

If you encounter conduct that violates these guidelines, use Project Red String’s reporting tools when available.

Safety concerns may also be reported to:

projectredstring1124@gmail.com

When reporting something serious, provide enough information for us to understand the issue.

Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • ·The account involved.
  • ·What happened.
  • ·Approximate date or time.
  • ·Relevant screenshots or messages.
  • ·Why you believe there is a safety concern.

Do not knowingly submit false reports in an attempt to punish another user.

19.What Happens After a Report

Project Red String may review available information and take action based on the circumstances.

Possible actions include:

  • ·No action when no violation is identified.
  • ·A warning.
  • ·Content removal.
  • ·Feature restrictions.
  • ·Reduced account visibility.
  • ·Temporary suspension.
  • ·Permanent account termination.
  • ·Preservation of relevant information.
  • ·Referral to appropriate authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to address a serious threat.

Not every report will result in the action requested by the reporting user.

For privacy and safety reasons, Project Red String may not be able to disclose every detail of an investigation or action taken against another account.

20.Safety Is a Shared Responsibility

Project Red String can provide tools, policies, moderation, and compatibility information.

It cannot replace personal judgment.

Users should remain cautious when communicating with people they have not met.

Pay attention to behavior that feels manipulative, threatening, inconsistent, financially motivated, or unsafe.

A Red String is a compatibility signal.

It is not a safety certification.

21.Enforcement

Project Red String may consider factors including:

  • ·Severity of the conduct.
  • ·Context.
  • ·Whether conduct appears intentional.
  • ·Repeated violations.
  • ·Previous enforcement.
  • ·Risk to other users.
  • ·Credible safety concerns.
  • ·Applicable legal obligations.

Severe conduct may result in immediate account restriction or termination.

Repeated lower-level violations may also result in account action.

22.Appeals and Questions

If you believe your account was restricted or terminated in error, you may contact:

projectredstring1124@gmail.com

Include enough information for us to identify the account and understand your request.

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that an enforcement decision will be reversed.

23.These Guidelines Will Evolve

Project Red String is an early-stage platform.

These guidelines may change as the community grows, new features are introduced, or new safety concerns emerge.

Material updates may be communicated through the service, by email, or through another reasonable method.

24.One Last Thing

Project Red String exists because interesting people do not always fit neatly into the same boxes.

You can believe different things.

You can ask weird questions.

You can be skeptical.

You can change your mind.

You can respectfully argue about whether we’re living in a simulation until the coffee shop closes.

Just remember there is a human being on the other side of the screen.

Different minds.

Same curiosity.
